The UNC Research Data Management Core (RDMC) offers a UNC Dataverse Repository Customization service that can help streamline data deposit workflows and enhance the visibility of your project data. This RDMC Add-on Data Management Service is designed to make the most of UNC Dataverse capabilities.

UNC Dataverse Repository Customization Service Scope of Work
The scope of work for the UNC Dataverse Repository Customization service can include one or more of the following:
Project Dataverse Landing Page Customization
Modification of the UNC Dataverse project landing page with project description, logo, background and text colors, and other customizations to promote recognition and discovery of the project dataverse.
Metadata Template Development
Development of a dataset metadata template in UNC Dataverse with metadata fields pre-populated with standard entries and custom instructions to increase the efficiency of dataset record creation and support the accuracy of descriptive and administrative metadata.
Dataset Review Workflow Implementation
Implementation of a dataset review workflow that designates user roles and permission levels for dataset contributors and curators to establish a workflow in the UNC Dataverse system for dataset quality review prior to publication.
Dataverse API Development
Development of APIs to streamline or automate data repository workflows for dataset deposit and publication in the UNC Dataverse project repository.

Information about the funding sponsor and their data management and sharing policies allows the RDMC team to recommend services that the sponsor considers allowable costs and that meet the sponsor’s specific data management and sharing requirements.
Once the RDMC team reviews submitted materials, you will receive a quote for the UNC Dataverse Repository Customization service that includes a recommended scope of work. Please note that this quote is offered as a broad-brush scope of work estimate based on several assumptions about project needs and timelines.
